Are you an ambitious accountant looking to grow your career in a respected chartered accounting firm? Kothes is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Tax Team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide top-notch accounting support to our clients while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Position: Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion the firm’s culture and behavioral standards while assisting in the maintenance of a diverse client portfolio.
  
• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  
• Provide guidance to undergraduate and trainee accountants, fostering their professional development.
  
• Support senior team members with complex accounting and taxation matters, actively seeking additional client service opportunities.
  
• Maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and timely communication.
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Completed or currently pursuing a degree in commerce, accounting, or business (or equivalent practical experience).
  
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or professional practice.
  
  Technical Skills:
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
  
• Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  
  Personal Attributes:
  
• Professional, confident, and positive outlook with a strong client service ethic.
  
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
